Message from the Executive Director

A warm welcome to the website of The Anointed Men- Uganda (TAME-U). The Anointed Men- Uganda is a non-governmental organization  established to eliminate domestic violence, discrimination and inequalities against men and boys on the grounds of sex, age, race, colour, ethnic origin, tribe, birth, creed or religion, health status, social or economic standing, political opinion or disability, and take affirmative action in favor of groups or individuals marginalized on the basis of gender, age, disability or any other reason created by history, tradition or custom for the purpose of redressing imbalances which exist against them.

Our vision is “To become a dignified social class with high ethical reputation that defends and promotes the glory of men in their families” and in all spheres of political, economic, social and cultural life. Our role is to assist men and boys to understand their rights to equal opportunities and their responsibilities and to facilitate redress to discrimination. We are committed to fostering a society in which men and boys are treated with respect and dignity.

It is our hope that this website will be a resource to the community and shall provide a clear overview of our work and objectives. As we are consistently looking for ways to improve our services to the public, we would welcome any comments and feedback you may have concerning the site’s content and usability features.
